A Guide to Cat Toys
September 17, 2009 | |
When selecting a toy for your moggy you would like one that’s both safe and good for giving your moggy exercise. You can purchase a few of these toys in the shop and you can make a few of them at home.
one. Cats love chasing balls. Nearly any ball will do. Ping Pong balls are great due to their size. My pussy has even played with my kids’ balls from their ball pit. For added pleasure give your pussy a ball with a little bell inside. This only works with cats that aren’t skittish. A last ball choice is to scrunch up some alcan foil in to a ball.
Yarn with a feather attached at the end :
This is a hunting reaction a pussy would have in the wild. It will pounce on the feather like it is catching its prey.
three. Get a remote controlled mouse :
This is a funny toy to play with and also helps encourage a cat’s hunting skills. You can use any remote controlled toy, but a mouse is a more natural choice. Stop when the pussy catches it so that the pussy can feel a feeling of achievement. Then start up again. This is a great way to get your moggy exercising.
Get a catnip sack or make your own :
Then sew it up. If the pussy goes too funny and makes an attempt to rip open the burlap then you are going to need to take the toy away.
five. Buy or make a climber :
pussies love to climb above all else. A climber is critical if you do not want your cat to start climbing up your drapes. Just staple carpet on every step of the climber so that the pussy doesn’t jump up and slide off the smooth wood surface.
If you want to make your moggy ecstatic, you are in the right place! What could be better than local, natural catnip? Growing organic catnip is a superb present you can give to your moggy.

Your catnip seeds can be planted straight into the ground. There is no need to start them indoors if you have 6-8 hours of sun outside. But you can start your plants inside if you would like to. Just be certain to keep them in a spot that receives plenty of sun. If you’re planting your seeds directly into the garden, sow your seeds about 1/8′ deep.
Keep your soil clammy. But do not over water your plants. Don’t make allowance for standing water. Catnip does have a tendency to shrivel up a bit when drying. #randurls[1|1|,|]#
If you encounter any sort of garden pest in the growing process, be certain to employ a natural or organic method of pest control. Stay away from insecticides or chemicals. This will make sure you are growing true organic catnip.
